Start your Halfords career with a Traineeship... What is the Halfords Traineeship? The Traineeship is there to prepare people for the world of work, providing a wide range of employability skills to help you succeed in the workplace. The Traineeship Programme lasts about 8 weeks, with a mix of classroom based learning and a minimum of 100 hours work experience at a Halfords Store. By completing the programme, you gain a Level 1 qualification in Retail and Employability Skills, which is also linked to the Halfords internal training programme, called “Gears”. In addition, you will have support to improve your maths and English as well as training in equality and diversity. For candidates who successfully complete the Traineeship, there are opportunities to gain a permanent job with Halfords and continue your development with an Intermediate Apprenticeship in Retail. Recruitment Work Ready People, working in partnership with Halfords, is holding a number of selection days where you can come along to find out more about the programme. You will also complete initial assessments in English and maths and attend an interview. Successful candidates will be invited to participate in the Traineeship scheme. Eligibility You must be aged between 17-24 to be eligible for a Halfords Traineeship and working less than 16 hours a week. Additional eligibility checks will be required. The next step!
