About us
WorkingRite is a charity tackling youth unemployment and the problems attached. We believe young people need positive, older role models around them to make a successful transition to adulthood and that many, practical youngsters are more likely to flourish outside the traditional education system. We personally match young people aged 16-18 with a local employer and support them through a six month work-based learning and mentoring scheme. Employers get an extra pair of hands to help them out, whilst young people develop the skills, confidence and maturity to successfully enter the adult world of work. Employers are required to pay trainees a weekly allowance of £50 per week whilst we pay their travel expenses and provide further training.
