1. Terms of Website Use

These terms & conditions (together with our Privacy Policy and any other documents referred to) govern your use of our website www.LoveLocalJobs.com (“our site”). By accessing or using our site, you accept these terms & conditions and agree to abide by them. If you do not agree, please do not use our site.

References to “recruiters” throughout these terms refer to anyone seeking to fill a vacancy, including recruitment/employment agencies, employers, companies and businesses.

2. Information About Us

2.1 http://www.LoveLocalJobs.com (“site”) is operated by LoveLocalJobs.com Limited ("We", “Us”), registered in England and Wales, company number 8792357, registered office 168 Church Road, Hove, East Sussex, BN3 2DL, UK. Our trading address is 3rd Floor, Pelham House, 25 Pelham Square, Brighton, East Sussex, BN1 4ET, UK. Our VAT number is GB187496252.

We provide our site to allow jobseekers, recruiters and service providers to post CVs, job advertisements and related materials. We do not perform vetting, reviewing or recruitment services. Information is provided by third parties; we accept no liability for its accuracy.

By accepting these terms, you confirm that:

  • We do not guarantee prospects of success, job availability, quality or timeliness of responses.
  • We do not act as an employment agency (see Clause 2.2).

2.2 Employment Agencies & Employment Businesses Regulations 2003

We operate as a forum only and do not introduce or engage applicants to employment businesses. We do not:

  • Vet suitability or identity of candidates,
  • Conduct legal/compliance checks,
  • Warn parties about legal requirements,
  • Indicate suitability/unsuitability for roles.

3. Accessing Our Site

3.1 Access is granted temporarily. We reserve the right to withdraw/amend services without notice.

3.2 User accounts/passwords must be treated as confidential. We can disable/revoke at our discretion.

3.3 All use must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy.

3.4 Recruiters can search the database by skills/profile. Jobseekers are responsible for their own profiles.

3.5 We no longer support Internet Explorer 7 & 8.

4. Intellectual Property Rights

4.1 We own or license all intellectual property rights in our site and materials, protected by copyright.

4.2 You may print/download a single copy for personal reference only. No commercial use permitted.

4.3 Breaches may result in immediate termination of site access.

4.4 Users warrant that uploaded material does not infringe third party rights. You indemnify us for breaches.

5. Our Liability

5.1 Materials are provided as-is. We exclude liabilities and implied warranties to the fullest extent allowed by law.

5.2 We do not exclude liability for death/personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or other liabilities prohibited to exclude by law.

6. Information About You and Your Visits

We process data in accordance with our [Privacy Policy]. By using the site, you consent to such processing.

6A. Data Protection Compliance

6A.1 We comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018. For details of personal data collection and processing, see our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms & Conditions.

6A.2 Jobseekers acknowledge that uploading a CV/profile makes personal data available to recruiters/employers using our site. Recruiters/employers may only use this data to fill genuine vacancies, must keep it secure, and must delete it when no longer required.

6A.3 No personal data from the site may be transferred outside the UK without our written consent and compliant safeguards (such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement).

6A.4 Users have the right to:

  • Request access to personal data
  • Request corrections
  • Request erasure
  • Restrict/object to processing
  • Data portability

7. Uploading Material

7.1 Uploads must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy.

7.2 Material is considered non-confidential/non-proprietary. We may use/copy/disclose such material and disclose your identity for IP/privacy claims.

7.3 We are not liable for content or accuracy of user posts.

7.4 We reserve the right to remove non-compliant material.

8. Viruses, Hacking & Offences

8.1 No malicious activity (viruses, unauthorized access, etc.).

8.2 Breaches constitute criminal offences (Computer Misuse Act 1990); will be reported.

8.3 We are not liable for loss/damage from viruses or cyber attacks.

9. Linking to Our Site

9.1 Fair/legal linking to our homepage only.

9.2 No linking from unowned websites.

9.3 No framing/content misrepresentation.

10. Links from Our Site

We have no control over third-party links/resources; no responsibility taken for them.

11. Jurisdiction & Applicable Law

11.1 Exclusive jurisdiction: The English courts.

11.2 Terms governed/interpreted by English law.

Brightonandhovejobs.com, Love Jobs and Love-________Jobs are Trade Marks of GWP Investments Limited.

LoveLocalJobs.com and BrightonandHoveJobs.com are all trading names of LoveLocalJobs.com Limited.

Terms may be revised at any time. Check this page regularly.

14. Warranties

No warranty the site will be error-free or uninterrupted.

Uploading CVs – JOBSEEKERS

16. Jobseekers warrant accuracy of information provided

17. Your Acknowledgements

Acknowledgements:

  • We do not vet/vouch for employers/recruiters.
  • No guarantees of vacancy suitability.
  • Recruiters may access/view CVs and contact jobseekers.

Placement of Advertisements – RECRUITERS

18. Advertising services

  1. If you wish to place an advertisement with our site, you must:
  • Complete your details
  • Click Acceptance
  • Enter Payment details as required

18.2 By clicking accept , you accept these terms and conditions and accept that you are contracting with us on a Commercial basis and not a consumer.

18.3 Advertisements posted for 30 days per fee.

18.4 We will endeavour to place your advertisement on our site within 2 working days. These are estimates only for posting time and are subject to change.

18.5 Job listings may be shared via aggregators.

18.6 Where job advertisements are distributed to third-party aggregators, we only share the content of the advertisement. No jobseeker personal data will be transferred except with explicit consent; aggregators may be outside the UK, in which case we ensure required UK GDPR safeguards.

19. Acknowledgements & Warranties – Recruiters

19.1 Recruiters acknowledge:

  1. We do not vet jobseeker info or guarantee its accuracy/suitability.

19.1.2 No claims/guarantees on applicant numbers or views.

19.2 Warrants compliance with Acceptable Use Policy, Privacy Policy and accuracy of all provided info.

20. Database

20.1 IP in jobseeker database is ours.

20.2 Limited licence to use/search the database for genuine vacancies.

20.3 Explicitly prohibited uses (selling, automated downloads, irrelevant contact, etc.).

20.4 Recruiters warrant compliance with all data protection laws at all times.

20.5 No action causing disrepute vis-a-vis jobseekers or data.

20.6 Unless you have an alternative legal basis under UK data protection law, you must delete all personal data relating to a jobseeker within 30 days of the vacancy being filled or the candidate being rejected.

21. Payment

Fee stated in order form, per 30 days. Replacement/deleted adverts incur fees.

21.2 Payment by stated methods only.

22. Advertising Rules

22.1 You must not manipulate job ad results or post fictitious jobs or competing recruitment sites.

22.2 All adverts must:

  • Relate to genuine vacancies available at time of posting.
  • Not unlawfully discriminate per Equality Act 2010.
  • Not be misleading as to role details.

23. Liability

Subject to Clause 5, our maximum liability to you is the value of any order that is the subject of any dispute.

24. Conduct

24.1 No conduct bringing us/our site into disrepute.

24.2 Use jobseeker information only to source candidates.

24.3 Agencies are responsible for compliance with the Employment Agencies Act 1973 and current Conduct Regulations.

25. Indemnity

You indemnify us against all damages, losses, expenses from third party claims or your breach.
