Animal Care Assistant:

Varndean School is looking to recruit an enthusiastic, committed and passionate Animal Care Assistant to care for our school animals. 3 hours per day, full year, flexible times of the day. Salary scale 3, point 7-8 (£26,403 - £26,824) Actual starting salary - £10,704.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and dynamic professional to work alongside the Individual Learning Support (ILS) team and students to provide care in all its forms for the school animals.

The right candidate will ideally have some experience working with animals in a practical setting, a positive ‘can-do’ approach to work and an interest in working within the education sector.

Strong team working and communication skills are essential as you will be working with staff and students to provide a high level of welfare for the animals and ensuring an overall collaborative approach to learning for our students.
