Commercial Analyst

Commercial Analyst - Permanent - Crawley (hybrid) - £35k

Are you a commercially minded analyst with strong financial reporting and project support experience? We're recruiting for an exciting Commercial Analyst opportunity with a growing project-led business, supporting large-scale operational and commercial projects.

Reporting to the Commercial Lead, you'll play a key role in maintaining accurate project financial data, WIP reporting, forecasting, margin analysis, and commercial performance tracking across a portfolio of live projects. You'll work closely with Project Managers, Finance teams, suppliers, and key stakeholders to ensure commercial information is accurate, timely, and supports effective business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain WIP reporting, project forecasts, and commercial performance data.
• Support project reviews, profitability analysis, and percentage-complete assessments.
• Monitor project costs, margins, variations, and commercial risks.
• Work closely with Project Managers to ensure accurate forecasting and reporting.
• Track variation orders, stage payments, and commercial documentation.
• Support procurement activities, supplier quotations, and cost analysis.
• Produce commercial reports, insights, and performance commentary.

About You

• Experience in a Commercial Analyst, Project Analyst, or Commercial Finance role.
• Strong knowledge of WIP reporting, forecasting, and project profitability.
• Advanced Excel and reporting skills.
• Commercially aware, analytical, and detail-oriented.
• Confident liaising with and challenging stakeholders where required.
• Well-organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
