The University of Western Australia (UWA) is seeking a Compliance Officer to assist with the development, implementation, and oversight of a University-wide compliance framework and system.
- Assist with the implementation and oversight of a University-wide compliance framework to ensure the University meets its legal and regulatory obligations.
- Assist University departments in establishing and maintaining compliance obligation registers, ensuring all relevant and material obligations are identified and understood.
- Contribute to the development of compliance resources and support awareness initiatives to promote understanding of compliance requirements across the University.
- Analyse legislative and regulatory changes, assessing their impact on UWA and with support recommend necessary adjustments to policies and procedures to minimise compliance risks.
The successful candidate will have a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent competency, substantial relevant experience in compliance management, and experience in the interpretation of legislation.
