Cover Supervisor:

Varndean School requires an enthusiastic, committed and outstanding Cover Supervisor to start September 2026. The Cover Supervisors are a busy and productive team within the school who support our vibrant teams of teaching staff. The successful applicant would be expected to provide cover supervision for absent staff across all departments and uphold teaching standards in the classroom.

The role is 30 hours per week, term time only. The salary is Scale 5, point 13-17 £28,163 - £30,060, actual starting salary based on 30 hours: £20,798.

Varndean School is an 11-16 school with around 1500 students, set in a picturesque south coast location in the vibrant and diverse city of Brighton and Hove. Varndean is a Good (Ofsted 2022) and well-established school already, we have made rapid progress over the past couple of years and have no intention of resting on our laurels. The potential here is immense and the successful applicant will play a role in supporting our students to develop World Class Learning. Varndean is an excellent place to work.
