Education Solicitor/Associate/Senior Associate - Brighton, East Sussex - Hybrid working

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate /Senior Associate Private Client Solicitor to join a highly regarded Tier 1 Legal 500 ranked Private Client Advisory team based in Brighton, with hybrid working options available. This role offers the chance to work with a collaborative and high-performing team advising high-net-worth individuals and families.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

You will manage a varied and complex caseload, advising families, schools and education-related organisations on a broad range of matters, including:

• SEND Tribunal appeals (primary focus)
• Upper Tribunal appeals
• School exclusions and admissions
• Disability Discrimination Act cases
• Complaints to Local Authorities, LGO and school governing bodies
• Education-related Judicial Reviews
• Safeguarding and education law advice for schools and colleges
• SEN strategy advice and EHCP health checks
• Community Care matters linked to education cases
• Handling both privately and publicly funded work
• Supervising junior colleagues and carrying out file reviews
• Building relationships with key stakeholders to drive new instructions
• Writing and delivering seminars to charities and education organisations
• Producing education law articles and case reviews

About You:

You will have:

• 2-8 years' PQE as a Qualified Solicitor
• Strong expertise in education law, particularly SEND Tribunal work
• Confidence managing a diverse caseload with minimal supervision
• A collaborative, supportive approach to mentoring junior team members
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A proactive attitude towards business development and networking
