Senior Interim Accountant - 6 Month Contract
Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 per annumStart Date: ASAP
A leading UK business is seeking an experienced Qualified Accountant (ACCA / ACA / CIMA) to join their busy finance team on an initial 6-month contract, with the potential to extend. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong technical accountant with proven controllership skills to support the organisation through a critical year-end period and several major finance initiatives.
The Role
Supporting the Head of Finance, you will play a key part in strengthening financial controls and delivering high-quality reporting during a period of change. You will take ownership of key accounting processes and act as a senior point of contact within the department.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the business's Banking and Treasury processes
- Carrying out month-end P&L and balance sheet reviews
- Leading the finance workstream of an ERP implementation for a newly acquired subsidiary
- Supporting senior finance stakeholders on a range of large-scale, high-profile projects
- Preparing detailed cashflow models
- Overseeing commission calculations and management
About You
We are looking for a hands-on, detail-driven Accountant with strong technical acumen and the confidence to operate in a complex environment.
Key requirements:
- Qualified Accountant: ACCA, ACA or CIMA
- Strong controllership and General Ledger experience, ideally within a large or complex organisation
- Advanced Excel capability and proficiency with major ERP systems
- Previous experience of systems or ERP implementation
