
Head of Leakage Operations
Summary:
The Head of Leakage is responsible for the overall delivery of the company network leakage reduction programme, overseeing every stage from the initial development of the strategic approach to the management of data and the initiation of remedial activities.The role will be responsible for setting and tracking progress against the leakage strategy, specifically focusing on the reduction targets for AMP8 and the long term planning for AMP9.
As part of the Water supply directorate, the Head of Leakage acts as the primary technical specialist for the wider business, ensuring the leakage reduction are integrated across the regional operations, customer services and asset management teams.
Main responsibilities:
- Developing and maturing the management of network leakage to ensure consistent reduction across the network.
- Embedding "Waternet" as the primary data system providing 'single version of the truth' for all leakage targeting and annual reporting.
- Leading the delivery plans for both the immediate and long term leakage and network strategies.
- Oversee customers’ supply pipe issues programme to reduce leakage, improve C-Mex benefits and avoid regulatory fines.
- Work with teams across the business from regional operations teams to retail/customer service teams focusing on leakage and C Mex benefits.
- Ensure regulations inspections are carried out as required and targets for compliance met.
- Collaborate with the Water Quality and Regional Network teams to agree on delivery mechanisms and program targets.
- Liaise with Asset Management and Regulation team to implement and interpret OFWAT water balance reporting methods.
- Working with the Technology and Insights directorate to optimise annual leakage reporting and enhance data driven insights.
You'll need:
Skills / Qualifications / Experience
- Significant senior management experience within a utility or engineering environment.
- Proven experience developing and delivering network wide water leakage reduction strategies.
- Extensive experience working within regulatory frameworks and reporting methodologies.
- Significant experience in cross functional stakeholder engagement, particularly across retail and technical teams.

Compensation package:
Starting on £90,000 + £9,844.66 car allowance + bonus
