Internal Account Manager / Customer Service

Lancing Monday-Friday Office-based.

A well-established, highly successful business in the specialist packaging sector is looking to hire an Internal Account Manager / Customer Service professional to support continued growth.

With a turnover of over £55m a year and a dominant presence across the South of England, the company works with household-name clients across multiple sectors. This is a long-term opportunity within a stable team where people tend to stay, progress, and earn well.

The role

This is an internal, office-based position supporting existing customer accounts and working closely with the Sales Manager and wider sales team. It is not a field sales role and does not involve cold calling.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing customer accounts day to day
  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients
  • Handling inbound and outbound customer communication
  • Supporting external Account Managers with coordination and administration
  • Maintaining consistently high service levels

The role suits someone who is confident on the phone, organised, and comfortable dealing directly with customers.

Working hours

  • Monday to Friday
  • 08:00-17:00 or 08:30-17:30
  • Fully office-based in Lancing
  • Clear no-overtime culture

Salary & benefits

  • £28,000 base salary
  • Bonus structure:
    • 1% of branch turnover
    • Currently equates to approximately £600 per month
    • Increases as the branch grows
  • 20 days holiday plus Bank Holidays

Candidate profile

  • Candidates with 2-3 years' experience in Customer Service, Internal Sales or Account Management
