What is the role?

The Operational Programme Manager is responsible for managing the organisation and delivery of multiple work streams under the Dual Runway operational scheme. Ensuring all teams meet their required milestones and are aware of any synergies, dependents or considerations across the delivery pillars of; Safety case & compliance, ANSP, capacity flow and operational requirements.

The individual co-ordinates the requirements of other business units to ensure needs are met, (Construction planning, Comms, Regulator and other stakeholder third parties).

Leading operational programme organisation and governance for a successful and timely delivery of the dural runway scheme, ensuring no scheme delay is generated from the operational delivery work streams.

What will you do?

  • Develop and manage a program plan and milestones tracker for each phase of the delivery timeline, across the multiple operational pillars.
  • Set up operational program governance structure for internal and external teams', documenting accordingly.
  • Source and integrate milestone requirements of the operational DRO team from partners (Construction, NATS, CAA) ensuring timelines and requirements are understood by the relevant SME area, track progress and delivery to ensure requirements are managed and met.
  • Maintain live workstream progress tracking through relevant tools to enable clear early warning and focus required on any program risks.
  • Lead the identification and mitigation of risks that may adversely impact program delivery or adversely affect airport operations through the programme lifecycle.

Do you have what we're looking for?

  • Experience in Airport operations, design and regulated environment, and a deep understanding of the broader business context. Relevant business areas include capacity planning, Airport operations and Aerodrome Safety & Regulation.
  • Experience managing multiple, interfacing, concurrent projects and change programmes/projects in a live operational environment desirable.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to make complex issues understandable for wider audiences, engage and motivate cross functional teams of internal staff and external consultants.
  • Ability to evaluate information critically, questioning assumptions and considering alternative perspectives
  • Extensive experience in the leadership of large multi stakeholder change programs.
  • Emotionally intelligent with the ability of managing interpersonal dynamics effectively and with empathy
  • Strong track record in strategic thinking capability – seeing and exploiting synergies. This might, for example, mean combining infrastructure solutions to solve more than one business challenge.
  • Strong track record of building and managing cross-functional teams of both internal staff and external consultants and subject matter experts.
