An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Residential Property Lawyer to join a highly regarded Legal 500 law firm within its award-winning Real Estate team in Brighton.

This is a rare opportunity to specialise in the growing retirement living sector, working alongside an experienced Partner and established team on a high-quality caseload of residential property transactions. The Role

You will become part of a thriving Real Estate team that advises clients across a broad range of residential property matters, with a particular focus on retirement living transactions.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing your own residential conveyancing caseload under supervision
• Handling freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
• Advising clients on retirement living transactions
• Conducting title investigations and reviewing searches
• Drafting and reviewing contracts and transfer documentation
• Liaising with clients, agents, lenders and third parties
• Ensuring compliance with CQS, AML and risk management procedures
• Maintaining exceptional levels of client care
• Assisting with business development and marketing initiatives
• Supporting the wider Residential Property and Real Estate teams

About You

You will ideally have:

• Previous residential conveyancing experience
• Strong knowledge of residential property law, including landlord and tenant matters
• The ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent client-care and communication skills
• Strong drafting and organisational abilities
• A collaborative approach and desire to work as part of a successful team
• Experience within the retirement living sector would be advantageous but is not essential, as training will be provided
