Residential Site Manager

We are seeking an experienced No.1 Residential Site Manager to join an established housebuilding developer, overseeing residential developments across the Horsham area and surrounding locations.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in residential housebuilding, with proven experience delivering both timber frame and traditional build projects. This is a genuine No.1 position, so applicants must be confident taking full responsibility for the day-to-day running of a development, managing site teams, subcontractors and programme delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of residential developments.

• Manage and coordinate site teams, subcontractors and suppliers.

• Oversee both timber frame and traditional build construction.

• Maintain high standards of health and safety, quality and workmanship.

• Monitor build programmes and ensure key deadlines are achieved.

• Manage inspections, NHBC requirements and handovers.

• Ensure sites operate in accordance with company procedures and industry regulations.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a No.1 Site Manager within residential housebuilding.

• Previous experience working for a PLC housebuilder is essential.

• Strong knowledge of both timber frame and traditional build methods.

• Confident managing developments independently and taking full site responsibility.

• SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications are essential.

• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.

Location & Continuity:

Applicants must be based in or around the Horsham area. The developer's head office is based locally, with developments situated within a reasonable commuting distance. This is an important consideration, as the company is looking to build long-term continuity between its site management team and head office.
