Planner - Haywards Heath

About the role of a Planner

You'll play a key role in the successful delivery of projects by producing and managing construction programmes, monitoring progress, and working closely with operational teams to ensure projects are delivered on time.

Responsibilities of a Planner

  • Develop and maintain project programmes using Primavera P6 or Asta Powerproject.
  • Prepare tender, pre-construction, and contract programmes.
  • Monitor progress and identify programme risks and opportunities.
  • Work with project managers and site teams to ensure programme compliance.
  • Produce progress reports and programme updates for clients and senior management.
  • Support project planning, sequencing, and resource allocation.

Requirements of a Planner

  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, programming, and project delivery.
  • Ability to develop and maintain tender, pre-construction, and live project programmes.
  • Experience monitoring project progress and producing programme updates and reports.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with project teams, clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Strong problem solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Relevant construction qualification (HNC, HND, Degree, or equivalent) desirable but not essential.
