Arise Recruit is delighted to be partnering with a well-established and growing independent construction consultancy in Hove to recruit a talented Quantity Surveyor.
With a strong pipeline of work and ambitious growth plans, our client is looking to strengthen its Cost Management team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking consultancy renowned for delivering high-quality Cost Management, Project Management, CDM, and Building Surveying services across a diverse range of sectors.

The Role
As part of the Cost Management team, you will work closely with a broad range of clients across the South East, delivering professional quantity surveying services throughout the project lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include:
- Feasibility studies and development appraisals
- Cost planning and estimating
- Value engineering
- Tender preparation, evaluation, and negotiation
- Contract administration
- Management of variations and valuations
- Final account negotiation
- Bank monitoring
You will have the opportunity to work on a varied portfolio of projects while developing your technical expertise and building strong client relationships within a supportive and collaborative team.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within a consultancy or professional surveying practice
- MRICS qualification or part way through APC and actively working towards chartership
- Strong knowledge of cost management and contract administration
- Experience working with JCT contracts, with NEC contract knowledge being advantageous
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive approach and ambition to develop your career within a growing consultancy
