You should have practical experience in designing, implementing, and&nbsp;optimizing&nbsp;data&nbsp;architectures, with a working knowledge of AI and Machine Learning techniques. The ideal candidate will have a consultative mindset and the ability to engage with users and stakeholders at all levels of the organization to collect and&nbsp;analyse&nbsp;requirements, ensuring&nbsp;optimal&nbsp;solution design, data pipeline delivery, and infrastructure scalability.&nbsp;We offer&nbsp;a fixed-term maternity cover (6 months), with&nbsp;a possibility&nbsp;to extend.&nbsp;Your responsibilities include (but are not limited to): &nbsp;<ul><li>Act as part of the Predictive Maintenance &amp; Intelligence team, providing data infrastructure and engineering support whilst following existing structures in ways of working.&nbsp; </li><li>Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that&nbsp;optimize&nbsp;statistical efficiency and data quality. </li><li>Design,&nbsp;build&nbsp;and&nbsp;maintain&nbsp;data pipelines to support machine learning and predictive models that&nbsp;identify&nbsp;avoidable failures. </li><li>Collaborate with Predictive Maintenance &amp; Intelligence team as well as other data-oriented teams at Elekta to deploy models, analytics workloads onto the Azure Analytics platform as well as providing data engineering&nbsp;expertise. </li><li>Architect and implement scalable data pipelines for data ingestion, processing, and transformation using Azure Data Factory, Databricks and other Azure services. </li><li>Manage and&nbsp;optimize&nbsp;SQL Server databases to ensure high performance,&nbsp;reliability&nbsp;and security. </li><li>Implement and&nbsp;optimize&nbsp;big data processing frameworks using Spark. </li><li>Handle large-scale data processing and real-time data streaming. </li><li>Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and testing of data solutions. </li><li>Ensure continuous integration and delivery practices are followed. </li><li>Monitor,&nbsp;manage&nbsp;and&nbsp;maintain&nbsp;the analytics workloads to ensure efficiency and scalability. </li><li>Support the development and maintenance of Business Intelligence (BI) applications, including data extraction and transformation. </li><li>Aid in database development and optimization using Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, and SSIS for high-performance data systems. </li><li>Engage in business analysis by working directly with stakeholders at all levels to understand data requirements for developing BI solutions and applications. </li><li>Integrate the company’s data with third-party data sources to enrich data models and support analytics needs. </li><li>Enhance data collection procedures to ensure data completeness and data pipeline integrity for downstream analytic systems. </li><li>Ensure the reliability,&nbsp;integrity&nbsp;and accuracy of data used for analysis through data validation and cleansing procedures. </li><li>Provide support for ad-hoc analyses, ensuring that the infrastructure supports quick and efficient data exploration. </li><li>Participate in concept exploration projects related to advanced development and services, offering data engineering support for prototyping and feasibility studies. </li><li>Support the integration of AI and machine learning algorithms by ensuring that data infrastructure is compatible with the needs of development teams. </li><li>Co-design and co-implement domain concepts and algorithms into reusable, scalable software modules for future-proofing solutions. </li><li>Prototype data infrastructure for new algorithm applications and investigate their feasibility. </li><li>Stay updated on the latest developments in data engineering, tracking&nbsp;new ideas,&nbsp;tools&nbsp;and methods in the field of data science, machine&nbsp;learning&nbsp;and deep learning.&nbsp;</li></ul>&nbsp;The right stuff  &nbsp;<ul><li>Excellent&nbsp;organisational&nbsp;skills, with a high degree of accuracy and detail. </li><li>Good communicator with a natural aptitude for dealing with people. </li><li>Work well in a busy team, being quick to learn and able to deal with a wide range of issues.&nbsp;
