Job Title: Repairs & Maintenance Manager Location: Littlehampton, United Kingdom Employment Type: Full-Time Industry Sector: Government - Local About the Role: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Repairs & Maintenance Manager to lead the delivery of a high-standard, responsive repairs service for residents. This role is pivotal in ensuring service excellence, timely repairs, and achieving performance targets. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver a responsive, "right first time" repairs service, consistently meeting or exceeding performance targets. - Manage void properties to minimize rent loss through swift turnaround times. - Oversee disrepair cases, ensuring legal compliance and efficient case progression, including court representation. - Lead capital works, cyclical maintenance, and planned programs in collaboration with the Asset & Development Manager. - Maintain accurate records of housing stock, repairs, and specialized equipment for efficient asset management. - Develop and maintain a compliance schedule for housing assets, monitoring KPIs and escalating issues as needed. - Design and enforce contract management strategies, using data insights to enhance services. - Implement audit procedures to ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and policy requirements. - Oversee repairs support functions, including reactive, planned, and cyclical maintenance, as well as compliance activities. - Manage multi-million-pound budgets, secure external funding, and ensure cost-effective procurement. - Represent the service in internal and external meetings, committees, and forums. - Lead multidisciplinary project teams to enhance efficiencies and customer experience. - Handle Stage 2 complaints, Freedom of Information requests, and inquiries from various stakeholders. - Foster a customer-centered culture, championing resident engagement and innovative approaches. - Ensure optimal utilization of software systems and databases for efficient record-keeping. - Maintain business continuity plans and participate in emergency response capabilities. - Commit to ongoing professional development for yourself and your team.
