Refrigeration Install Engineer
We are currently working with a specialist refrigeration contractor delivering supermarket and retail refrigeration projects across the Southeast. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Refrigeration Install Engineer to support ongoing installation works within live supermarket environments.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer with experience installing supermarket refrigeration systems, particularly CO2 systems, looking to join a busy and well-established business with long term work and progression opportunities.
Duties and Responsibilities
Installing commercial refrigeration systems within supermarkets and retail environments
Working on CO2 refrigeration systems across new build and refurbishment projects
Carrying out refrigeration pipework installations and associated mechanical works
Pressure testing systems prior to commissioning
Working closely with commissioning engineers and wider site teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently
Reading and interpreting technical drawings and installation schematics
Ensuring all works are completed in line with health & safety regulations and company standards
Maintaining high standards of workmanship within live retail environments
Communicating professionally with clients, site teams and subcontractors
Tickets / Qualifications
Valid F-Gas Certification essential
SSSTS preferred
Full UK Driving Licence
About You
Key capabilities required for this role include:
Previous experience as a Refrigeration Install Engineer within supermarket or retail environments
Strong experience working on CO2 refrigeration systems is essential
Ability to carry out pressure testing independently
Good understanding of refrigeration installation methods and pipework systems
Ability to work from drawings and installation specifications
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Reliable and professional approach to work
Commitment to health & safety and quality workmanship
Experience Required
Proven background within refrigeration installation
Supermarket refrigeration experience is essential
Experience working on CO2 packs and systems
Comfortable working within fast paced live site environments
Experience working alongside commissioning teams, with understanding of the wider installation process
Ability to work independently and as part of a wider installation team
Salary range
- £35,000 - £50,000
