SEN English Lead Worthing Full-Time ASAP StartAbout the Role:We are seeking a passionate and experienced SEN English Lead to join a forward-thinking specialist education setting in Worthing. This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding SEN teacher to lead and develop English provision for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring high-quality teaching and meaningful progress for all learners.Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning , delivery, and development of the English curriculum across the school.
  • Adapt and differentiate lessons to meet the diverse needs of learners with SEN, including autism and complex needs.
  • Monitor student progress and implement effective intervention strategies.
  • Support and coach staff to deliver high-quality English teaching.
  • Contribute to EHCP planning, reviews, and target setting.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.

About You:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience teaching English, ideally within an SEN or alternative provision setting.
  • Strong knowledge of differentiated teaching strategies and inclusive practice.
  • Experience in leading a subject area or willingness to step into a leadership role.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for young people with additional needs.
