Chef Manager

We are looking for an enthusiastic Chef to lead a busy school kitchen, delivering fresh, nutritious meals to students and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve high-quality meals using fresh ingredients.
  • Lead and support the kitchen team.
  • Maintain Food Hygiene, Allergen, and Health & Safety standards.
  • Provide catering for school events and hospitality requests.
  • Build positive relationships with staff and students.

About You

  • Must have a current DBS certificate or be willing to apply for one
  • Previous catering experience, ideally in education or high-volume environments.
  • Food Hygiene Level 2 & 3 qualified (or willing to train).
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and compliance.
  • Motivated, organised, and able to inspire a team.
  • Passionate about food and delivering excellent service.

What we can offer

  • 18 per hour
  • 30 hours per week
  • 39 weeks per year (term-time only)
  • Monday to Friday working pattern
  • No evenings or weekends
  • Ongoing training and career development opportunities
