We are looking for an enthusiastic doctor with an interest in palliative care to join the Southern Hospice Group medical team on a fixed term (for 1 year) basis and will consider applications for both full-time and less than full time applicants. This post would be suitable for specialty level doctors, GPs and ST4+ equivalent level doctor. No specialist palliative care experience is necessary provided experience in relevant or allied specialties can be demonstrated, e.g. internal medicine, care of the elderly and general practice. St Barnabas House is located in Worthing, West Sussex with its catchment area covering Worthing, Adur, Arun and Henfield. The organisation's clinical services include a specialist palliative care in-patient unit (8 beds), a 4-bedded unit for patients who fulfil continuing health care fast track criteria, and a busy community specialist palliative care service, which includes a dedicated clinical nurse specialist team, respiratory and heart failure specific services, Hospice at Home team and out-patient clinics. Our Living Well service is aimed at patients with lower intensity needs and we provide well-being services to patients and their informal carers, and a pre- and post-bereavement service. Essential criteria This post forms part of the medical team, which under the leadership of the relevant Hospice Medical Lead provides care for patients seen in the specialist palliative care in-patient and community settings on a day-to-day basis. The post would be suitable for doctors who wish to pursue a career in Palliative Medicine or for those trained or training in general practice wishing to develop skills in this area. The post-holders would have an opportunity to further develop their skills in this specialist area in a supervised and supported learning environment. The post-holders will be responsible to the relevant Hospice Medical Leads in fulfilling the following duties: The chief responsibility will be the day-to-day clinical management of patients under the service as needed, whether in the community or on the in-patient unit. This might include domiciliary visits, out-patient assessments, conducting admissions, discharge planning, advance care planning discussions, venesection, intravenous cannulation. This would be with the support of the rest of the medical team (senior and resident) and the wider multidisciplinary team. To communicate with the family of patients and those close to them as appropriate. To be responsible for undertaking the administrative duties associated with the care of patients and the administration of the department, including writing discharge summaries, organising TTOs, completing the required post-death duties and paperwork, and organising relevant imaging and other clinical investigations as needed. Lockton Europe is building out a PMO team and requires the successful candidate to be able to help frame and mature the services/standards provided and act as an enabler, assisting the successful delivery of our project portfolio whilst providing our leaders with the insights and assurances they need to support successful delivery.Reporting to the Lead Business Analyst working with senior stakeholders across various Divisions, the Business Analyst will fill a critical role within the organisation tasked with collecting, understanding, documenting, and representing business requirements for projects across the technology portfolio.This is a very varied role, which will provide the opportunity to use existing skills and experience whilst acquiring new ones. The role holder will specifically support the Technology team on a variety of projects. Key Responsibilities <ul><li>Researching business processes, creating reports with recommendations to management; identifying, understanding, developing and validating business needs</li><li>Produce functional and non-functional requirements and supporting documentation</li><li>Endorse business requirements with an emphasis on collaboration, delivery, and a focus on the tactical and/or strategic goals of the project and the business</li><li>To review and identify opportunities to optimise current business capabilities and processes and drive efficiencies</li><li>Take a lead role in the project throughout the full project lifecycle from definition of business needs through to solution fulfilling the defined requirements</li><li>Support implementation and quality assurance activities to ensure solutions meet expectations and business requirements</li><li>Analysing business structure to determine how it operates and determine its objectives</li><li>Always having the business user and the experience of our customers/clients in mind</li><li>Support the business throughout the project life cycle with emphasis on the testing phases</li><li>Step into project management responsibilities when required, including planning, coordinating, and overseeing project delivery to ensure milestones and objectives are met, while maintaining effective communication with stakeholders and managing risks and issues.</li><li>Be an active advocate for change and bring your knowledge of best practise in business analysis to help progress the teams' continual improvement</li></ul> Candidate Profile <ul><li>A solid understanding of the insurance/reinsurance industry</li><li>Demonstrable experience as a high performing Business Analyst with experience in technology, digital, or transformation environments.</li><li>Effective communicator with internal stakeholders (at all levels) in the business, understanding their needs</li><li>Strong ability to analyse business needs and translate into business user requirements</li><li>Skilled at performing business process and gap analysis with the ability to identify opportunities for process optimisation</li><li>Proven ability to undertake project management activities as needed, demonstrating flexibility to lead projects, manage timelines, resources, and deliverables, and ensure successful project outcomes alongside core business analysis duties.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Flexible and adaptable with experience of working to tight/changing deadlines</li><li>Delivery and detail focussed when implementing changes to support business requirements</li><li>Can do attitude (no job is too small or too big) with the ability to work on your own or as part of a bigger team</li><li>London Market Broker experience</li><li>Experience of acquisition, integrations or business transfers</li><li>Experience of platform re-writes, integrations, automations and use of AI/(G)AI</li><li>Experience of Target Operating Model design/rollout; system implementations; general business change</li></ul>
