We are currently recruiting a dedicated and compassionate Primary Teaching Assistants to support pupils with special educational needs across schools in the Eastbourne area, working in partnership with Swale Academy Trust. This role is ideal for someone with proven SEN experience who is passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities - Teaching Assistant:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN
  • Support children in primary with additional needs including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant or supporting children with SEN - essential
  • Strong understanding of a range of special educational needs
  • Patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
