About This RoleAs a global leader in Civil Aviation training, our Business Aviation Training Division is undergoing an exciting period of expansion and we now have several full-time openings for Ground School Instructors based out of our Burgess Hill (West Sussex) Training Centre.&nbsp;The role we are offering youWe will build upon your existing experience as an aviation professional and transform you into a world-class Ground School and subject matter expert, ready to lead clients through their training – all with the added benefit of spending less time away from home.You will work alongside our client partners, providing expert Ground School instruction.&nbsp;You will be responsible for the upkeep of accurate and concise trainee records.RESPONSIBILITY<ul><li>Responsible for delivering instruction during ground training phase of initial and recurrent courses using VSIM.</li><li>Delivering instruction on IPT during initial ground school.</li><li>Responsible for ensuring client comprehension of aircraft systems knowledge by delivering aircraft systems review lectures.</li><li>When required, responsible for assisting with courseware development for training programmes.</li><li>When required, responsible for keeping training material up to date, accurate and responsive to client needs.</li><li>When required, responsible for “crewing up” in the simulator when there is odd numbers of clients on the course.</li><li>Any other duties as may be required.</li></ul>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:&nbsp;<ul><li>Excellent classroom, presentation and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Above average communication skills, both written and oral.</li><li>Computer skills, in particular knowledge of Power Point presentations programme.</li><li>Prior knowledge of aircraft systems either as a professional engineer or pilot would be an advantage.</li><li>Work follows established procedures but the ability to adapt and innovate may be required.</li><li>Strong focus on quality with a continuous drive towards process improvement &amp; customer satisfaction.</li><li>Ability to concentrate and work in a fast paced environment.</li><li>Readily accepts changes and adjusts accordingly.</li><li>Ability to maintain strong customer orientation under adverse circumstances.</li><li>Ability to respond to client questions in a positive and helpful manner by carrying out research and delivering an answer in a timely and understandable manner</li><li>Scope to deal with some complex problems unsupervised.</li><li>Other more complex problems would be referred to supervisor.</li><li>Ability to maintain composure under pressure.</li><li>Some decisions/advice may need to be made at short notice without prior referral to supervisor to rectify on-the-spot client or internal issues.</li><li>Ability to assess client’s aircraft systems knowledge and determine if they have gained sufficient knowledge to pass the final exam.</li><li>Significant client contact.</li><li>Regular internal communication with all levels of staff within CAE</li></ul>SPECIAL FEATURES:&nbsp;<ul><li>Ability to work flexible hours including public holidays and weekends.</li><li>Some domestic and overseas travel may be required.</li></ul>About CAEAt CAE, we equip people in critical roles with the expertise and solutions to create a safer world.
