Job Title: Department Administrator

Location: Uckfield, East Sussex

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time (40 hours per week)

Salary: £27,000 - £28,000 + benefits

Our client is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Administration Assistant to join their busy team based in Uckfield.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous administration experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced office environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the administration of new claims, ensuring accurate case setup, maintaining records, and delivering excellent service to both private and corporate clients.

This is a varied administrative position requiring excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and confidence working across multiple databases and case management systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing the new claims email inbox
  • Setting up new files and cases by accurately entering information and documentation onto the case management system from multiple databases
  • Reviewing documentation to ensure files are set up accurately and efficiently
  • Preparing client care letters and compliance documentation
  • Processing incoming post, scanning, and saving documents onto the case management system
  • Answering and directing telephone enquiries in a professional manner
  • Printing and preparing documentation for postal dispatch
  • Providing regular updates to both private and corporate clients
  • Updating records and maintaining accurate client information across multiple systems
  • Assisting the team with general administrative and office support tasks as required
  • Prioritising workload effectively to meet deadlines within a busy environment
Requirements
  • Previous administration, office support, or coordinator experience
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Confident using Microsoft 365 applications
  • Ability to learn and work confidently with a variety of case management and database systems
  • Experience accurately transferring and maintaining data across multiple systems
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Professional, reliable, and client-focused approach
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
